Food and Drink on the Yorkshire Three Peaks
We suggest drinking water regularly throughout the challenge — allowing two litres of water per mountain. Bottled water can be bought in Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Ribblehead if needed.
During the walk itself, we suggest snacks such as fruit, dried fruit, nuts, cereal bars and pasta.
We recommend having a good but not heavy breakfast, and ideally not taking any long stops during the challenge.
As we finish right by it, you may like to have a drink and perhaps a meal at The Old Hill Inn — their cooking is exceptional (rib-eye steak, £14), but they can often book up. Their phone number is 01524 241256.
Food at The Marton Arms in Ingleton is also very good — they also have rooms available.
